Eat the Chocolate, Drink the Wine
Our bodies are not meant to be in a state of guilt - we are naturally designed to seek pleasure and avoid pain. In our efforts to diet and deny ourselves things that bring us pleasure, we create more harm than good. Maybe the chocolate is what you're missing. - Rebekah Fedrowitz, Nutrition & Body Image Specialist Tailor Made Health and Wellness

Scarves can tie even warm-weather outfits together
Once relegated to fall and winter wardrobes, scarves are now jazzing up spring and summer wardrobes, as well. The scarf has moved on from the days of sweet, side-tied kerchiefs and moved up to a multipurpose, always chic, often cheap must-have. I believe very strongly in fashion with a function, and a scarf provides warmth as well as protection for your hairdo. But it also can add color and completely change the look of an outfit - even a T-shirt and jeans. - By CLOE CABRERA

Fitness & Health Do Perfect Pushup handles work as promised?
Is it another marketing ploy or are the Perfect Pushup handles really as great as they claim? Not to brag, but I can do pushups, even though I think they are extremely hard and I feel like I am about to die. I purchased a pair of the Perfect Pushups and put them to my personal test. They did indeed seem to take strain off my wrist joints that I sometimes feel with floor pushups. My range of motion was also much better when using this device. I felt like my core was more intensely engaged as well. Overall the pushups were harder for me when using the Perfect Pushups. Oh goodie … - By LINDA STOLLINGS

Designer Abby Z. sells sexy in every size
When it comes to full-figured fashions, designer Abby Z. figured it out long ago. "Women of all shapes and sizes want to feel hot and look smokin' hot," she says. "Women want to be fashionable no matter their size. They want the clothes all the other girls are wearing. But they want them to fit." While her clothing sizes range from 2 to 24, Abby Z., whose real name is Abby Zeichner, has established herself as a designer for curvaceous women. The niche market found her, she says. - By CLOE CABRERA

10 steps to an accessible, organized closet

10 steps to an accessible, organized closet
A haphazard pile of jeans and purses overwhelmed the hamper. Piles of shoes cluttered the closet floor. And hangers sagged from the weight of too many clothes. My side of the walk-in closet was no longer walkable; it was a place I dreaded visiting, despite my love for clothes. And to make matters worse, I share my closet with the neatest man in the whole world. I decided to clean up my act for the New Year and, I hope, for good. So I turned to Lorie Marrero, a certified organizing expert and author of "The Clutter Diet" (Reason Press, $17.95). - By Cloe Cabrera

Gift cards: get more for the money
According to news reports, the dollar value of gift cards purchased this year is expected to be down slightly, but the number of cards purchased is going to be higher. Sounds odd, but people still want to give gifts — this year it will just be gift cards with less money than in previous years. After all, it's the thought that counts. If you're like me, you relish receiving gift cards because there are great opportunities to stretch a dollar. If someone gives me a $20 gift card, I try to make it worth even more. Here are a few tips. - By Kevin Strawbridge

Stress less and remain sane during the holidays
If this is, as the song says, "the most wonderful time of the year," why do so many people look so miserable at the mall and the grocery store and the Christmas tree lot? Finding enough money for gifts, making time for shopping and events, and wanting to re-create childhood Christmases are among the most often cited stressors, research shows. And women, especially, say they have a tendency to deal with the strain by drinking and eating a little more, and sleeping a lot less. - By KIM FRANKE-FOLSTAD
