Old Bags Auction And Coffee Charity Event User Submitted Content Courtesy of Judy Sydnor After months of planning and hard work, the Brandermill Woman’s Club is putting the final touches on plans for the “Old Bags Auction and Coffee” charity event. The gently used purses have been sorted and selected with care, so that participants will bid high and bid fast as local celebrity radio host Kat Simon urges the crowd to support the charities of the Brandermill Woman’s Club. But wait...there’s more! Gift baskets holding an array of donated theme products will be available for the Silent Auction. Combinations of kitchen, travel, gardening and beauty items will be beautifully displayed, tempting even the most frugal shoppers to write down bids and hope that they win. Of course, delectable muffins, quiche, fruit and beverages prepared by the ladies of the BWC will be tempting all who enter the doors of the Brandermill Church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 19. One of the most notable items up for bid is an off-season North Carolina condo vacation. Details on dates and information on the luxurious accommodations will be showcased in a display in the entry hall. As always, there will be plenty of door prizes announced during the entire morning of excitement. Tickets will be sold for those who want to have a chance at winning some of these spectacular gift items. All that’s left is for the community to come out on Saturday and support this major charity event. Tickets are $5.00 at the door, or through the members of the BWC. Cash or checks are the only acceptable form of payment for the auction items and entry ticket. For more information, call Betty Jo King at 763-5666.
