Enjoying a deliciously divine Valentine’s dinner can be a breeze with just a little planning. Keep your menu simple and prepare as much of the meal as possible ahead of time.
The night should be seductive, not stressful. And oh yeah, candles and a chilled bottle of champagne don’t hurt either!

An upscale restaurant in our town recently had a champagne tasting. The results were surprising and refreshing - you don’t need to spend a fortune on a good bottle of champagne. Here are the favorites:
1. Barefoot Bubbly (about $9/bottle)
2. Korbel Brut, extra dry (about $12/bottle)
3. Cristalino Brut (about $10/bottle)
4. Brickstone Cellars Extra Dry (about $15/bottle)
5. Prosecco Italian sparkling wine ($13/bottle) (and our favorite!)
The Day Before
1. Print your grocery list and shop for ingredients.
2. Cheese Fondue - Wash and trim veggies and grate the cheese.
3. Lobster Newburg – Prepare steps 1-3 and refrigerate.
4. Chill champagne.
The Day Of
1. Make Chunky Chocolate Dessert (You can make it up to 4 hours before guest arrives).
2. Appetizer - Prepare Fondue. (10 minutes)
3. Prepare salad. (10 minutes)
4. Entrée - Heat up veggies and lobster meat and place in tails. (5 minutes)
