Shop with Caution Alisha Gray-Johnson, MSW Messless Expert If you are like most Americans, it may be really tempting to take advantage of these special offers. If we aren’t careful, we could really get carried away. Picking out a few “cool” items that are on “SALE” could actually end up wasting money instead of saving money. Think of your home as your safe haven. This is the place that you find calmness, clarity and rejuvenation. Your haven should be adequately filled with needed items and special pieces that make you feel good. An abundance of things that are unnecessary and doesn’t make you feel good could make your safe haven feel like a stressful, cluttered space instead of a claming place. As you brave the stores, be aware of what you are bringing into your space. Here are a few Messless tips to help you decide. Do you already have one? Rethink purchasing duplicate items because it’s a great price. If your blender is at the end of its life cycle, splurge. If not, save your money. Would you buy it if it wasn’t on sale? If you wouldn’t buy an item if it wasn’t already on sale, you probably don’t really need or want it. Despite an item being a great price, if you don’t use or need it, it’s a waste of money and space. Where will it go? Decide before you purchase an item where it will be housed in your home. If you have no idea where to put it, it probably doesn’t have a real place in your home that will not cause clutter. Happy Shopping!
