A day in the Life of a Wedding Planner: PERCEPTIONS. A Great Full Service Salon I hope that everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend and Monday off. So one of the not so many perks of the business, is the necessary emphasize that has to be placed on knowing a product that you are recommending to brides or friends. I have to know exactly what is going to happen when they go to a certain salon or beauty facility. I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Perceptions Salon, in Carrytown. They are located right beside The Bryd Theatre. I immediately noticed when I walked in that it was a definitely chic and upscale very Manhattany (Spelling, I know) establishment. The receptionist was wonderful. She immediately greeted me which from a client standpoint, is key because it lets you know that they do somewhat care about you and your feelings. I started out my wonderful tour with a massage and facial. There is no contest that Lindsey kept talking to a medium. Which is perfect because when you are in a spa area because there are people getting the same tournament. I loved the massage and facial so much because I liked how she could talk about exactly what is being done. I really appreciated it. I might not know exactly what it is that you are putting on but just the shear fact that I know about it, is good. There is no time for the little things. I then moved over to my Mani and Pedi. It was nice because Vamp was wonderful. She is so talkative and fun that the time flies by. I also got at great light lunch before getting my hair done. I was really good. I then went on to my Hair shampoo and style. Robert was wonderful. He really knows a lot about hair; all types of hair which is great when dealing with different types of brides. I truely enjoyed myself he kept me laughing the entire time. I want to thank Mercedes and all of her staff and especially Lindsey, Vamp and Robert because they really made sure that I had a great experience. I must recommend that everyone go out and do a Spa Day at Perception Salon. See you soon,
